The attached article appeared in the Upper Yarra Mail Newspaper in Victoria on Tue 20th April, 2010. It describes the potters kick-wheel made by potter Alistair Whyte, blacksmith, Andy Jagger and woodworker Don Willis, that the Chimere is delivering to a school in Vanuatu to benefit the local villagers. Mr Whyte, whose connection to the area links to his parents’ time as missionaries there in the 1950’s, will meet the Chimere in South West Bay to help set up the wheel and teach the locals in its use.
