It’s been another big day with the main task of sailing the 30 miles or so south from Pittwater to Sydney Harbour being achieved with about 15 minutes of daylight up our sleeves.

The journey itself was a bit lumpy, cold and damp on account of the southerly wind and regular rain showers.  But the sunset over the harbour bridge made it all worthwhile.

The cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) have made us feel very welcome and have generously put us up for 2 nights before we clear customs on Saturday and head off.  Tonight we walked up the hill and had dinner in a local pub which was very fine.

I’ve included some photos of the trip down which pretty much illustrate the highs and lows of the day …

Time for bed

Smooth sea, fair breeze and Sydney really is special …
