Andrew grew up sailing an International Cadet and after reading every known sailing book, from Eric Hiscock to David Lewis, was given the opportunity to go to sea when the family acquired a Compass 29.

Bass Strait was the training ground and after shared ownership of two Nicholson 32s over the space of 15 years, 2006 saw the purchase of the Chimere in association with his brother Robert.

A background in engineering, Andrew now works in the field of efficient building design and energy auditing.
