Although born in Sydney, I started sailing late in life (in my 40’s), and have so far completed one Sydney to Hobart and a few other offshore races, as well as racing on a regular basis around Sydney. I also sail on a Sunday with one of my two daughters at Hunters Hill Sailing Club on our NS14, Pleasure and Pain.   I’m due to take some long service leave from my electrical contracting company, so I thought that this project was ideal in combining my love of sailing with the opportunity to contribute to a worthwhile cause.
