I grew up in sunny Queensland and would you believe it never sailed. Years later after moving to Sydney my wife won a free sailing lesson and it was after that lesson my passion for sailing began. That was some years back now. Over the years I have competed in a number of off shore races and enjoy the leisurely deliveries back again I have done the “round the cans” circuit over a number of years. Have own a couple of boats during this time as well, as a recreational sailor I have achieved AYF yatchmaster (offshore) and then to really test my skills and knowledge sat and passed the Master of yachts offshore an international commercial certificate. Every time I go sailing I find I’m still learning something new as every time you go sailing it is never the same.
